SMEEGE: Experience vocational training abroad. Project SMEEGE brings decision-makers and trainers to Madrid…

SMEEGE – The project goal
SMEEGE – The project goal
The Erasmus+ project SMEEGE makes the benefits of trainees’ stays abroad tangible – for entrepreneurs and trainers.
For many years it is possible to learn training contents in dual vocational training abroad. Numerous information events on the subject have already convinced many companies – but there is still a long way to go before all companies are convinced of the possibilities and advantages.
The SMEEGE project is now going one step further by offering the opportunity to experience the advantages of training abroad for yourself – as a decision-maker in the company or as a trainer. With a trip to Madrid organised by the project members from 5 countries you will meet other decision-makers from Germany, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia and Spain.
Contents of the tour (3-5 days) will be
– Short linguistic and intercultural preparation at the International Formation Center Madrid
– Practices of the Spanish economy
– Common meal
– Networking with German and international entrepreneurs and trainers
– Visits to training companies or centres
All this is dependent on travel opportunities and the development of the pandemic in September 2021.

Project kick-off meeting
On 8 and 9 October 2020 the kick-off meeting of the SMEEGE project was held. Due to travel restrictions, only the German and Belgian project partners could gather in one location in Cologne. All other partners were involved via a video conference.
The first steps of the project were successfully agreed. First of all, the relevant current trends on the topic of mobility at a european level will be identified. This will be done in all project countries through literature research. The results will be compared and discussed in the second project meeting in December 2020.
